Company Introduction Mesa Fresca is a company specializing in the preparation and distribution of meal kits containing portioned ingredients and associated recipes.
Purpose These general terms and conditions govern the ordering, payment, pickup, and use of the products offered on Mesa Fresca’s website.
Order Any order placed on the website is final and cannot be refunded or modified after confirmation. The customer is responsible for selecting the pickup slot and must ensure they can collect the order on the chosen date. Failure to collect the order at the designated pickup point on the agreed day and time will result in the order being considered lost, with no refund or rescheduling.
Price and Payment Prices are displayed in euros and include all applicable taxes. Payment is made online at the time of ordering using the available payment methods. Any unpaid order will not be processed.
Order Pickup Orders must be collected at the designated pickup points on the agreed dates and times. Mesa Fresca is not responsible for delays caused by the customer or failure to pick up the order.
Freshness and Liability The use of the ingredients should commence on the day the order is received to ensure optimal freshness. It is recommended to freeze meat and fish if the meals are not prepared in the suggested order following the pickup date. Mesa Fresca shall not be held responsible for any physical discomfort, allergic reactions, or other issues resulting from the consumption of the recipes or storage methods used by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the ingredients meet any dietary restrictions or lifestyle requirements of those consuming the meals. The products may contain tree nuts.
Force Majeure Mesa Fresca shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform its obligations due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, acts of terrorism, or any other circumstances beyond its control.
Right of Withdrawal Due to the perishable nature of the products offered, the right of withdrawal is excluded. The customer acknowledges that, in accordance with applicable regulations, no return or cancellation will be accepted after order confirmation.
Complaints and Mediation In the event of a complaint, the customer is invited to contact Mesa Fresca’s customer service to amicably resolve the issue. Failing an amicable resolution, mediation procedures may be initiated prior to any legal action.
Liability in Case of Errors Mesa Fresca makes every effort to ensure the conformity and quality of its products. In the event of a preparation error or any issue affecting product quality, Mesa Fresca’s liability shall be limited to correcting or replacing the order, except in cases of proven direct damage.
Personal Data Protection Mesa Fresca is committed to protecting the confidentiality of the personal data collected. Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to manage orders and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations. Appropriate security measures are implemented to prevent unauthorized access.
Changes and Rights Mesa Fresca reserves the right to modify its services, offers, and terms without notice. These T&Cs shall apply to all orders placed prior to any modifications.
Governing Law and Disputes These general terms and conditions are subject to Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavor to reach an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts shall be those of Mesa Fresca’s registered office

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer Vegetarian or Gluten-free options?
Yes! We offer alternatives by swapping the meat for tofu, tempeh, or halloumi - or by replacing any ingredients that contain gluten with a suitable gluten-free option. When placing your order, simply write in the comments the specificities you wish and we will work accordingly. The recipe remains the same as displayed on the website, ensuring you get the full Mesa Fresca experience.

How does your meal service work?
Mesa Fresca plans 5 meals per week and provides you with fresh ingredients and detailed recipes for each one, which you can then prepare at home. Each recipes is a complete meal, simple to make, and takes approximately 30 minutes or less to cook.
Your order includes ingredients for each recipe in bags labelled A to E. We recommend starting with recipe A to maintain freshness and ingredient quality. Some ingredients can be frozen if you prefer to prepare them later.
While all recipe ingredients are included, there are a few standard pantry essentials you'll need to have at home. These remain consistent each week.
Items to keep on hand in your pantry: Balsamic vinegar, beef & chicken broth, brown sugar, butter, cornstarch, egg, flour, honey, ketchup, mayonnaise, milk, mustard, olive oil parmesan, red wine vinegar, soy sauce.
Are the dishes already prepared or do we have to cook them?
Your meal kits include fresh ingredients and detailed recipes. You will prepare and cook yourself, for exemple, chopping vegetables and cooking everything from scratch.
Is it possible to order less than 5 meals?
Our meal service offers a three or five-meal packages, and you can choose either three or five portions for each meal.
Many of our customers freeze the meat (since it's fresh) and spread the meals out over 2 weeks!
What are the delivery options?
Option 1: Self Pickup Your meals can be picked up at our boutique at no additional cost. The pickup day is Monday between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Option 2: Home Delivery
Select your delivery date and time at checkout, and we will deliver your meals at a time that works best for you on Tuesday. We offer delivery service in the greater Lisbon area, including Cascais and Caparica. The delivery price will vary depending on your location.
Can I order for just one person?
Absolutely! Many of our customers are individuals or couples who enjoy our service. The smallest quantity is three meals with three portions. You can freeze your meat and enjoy the meals over time.
Do I have to subscribe for a certain number of weeks?
No subscription or commitment is required. You can order week-to-week and adjust the number of meals or portions each time.
Do you offer nutritional information? Can I see the calorie count per meal ?
We do not provide nutritional values. At Mesa Fresca we believe in the pleasure of eating well and using minimally processed ingredients, cooking at home and sharing a meal with those you love without counting calories. This is our philosophy.
For the three meal option, can I choose different recipes ?
Yes! You can pick any of the 3 recipes from the 5 meals menu available that week, including the vegetarian options you prefer (refer to the question on vegetarian options in the FAQ)
